INET International Pairs 2010 Golf Tournament winners Marcus Franker and Stewart Gordon travel to Scotland today, Monday, October 4 to represent Antigua and Barbuda at the International Pairs World Finals at the Loch Lomond Golf Course, which will be held October 6 to 8.
The winning duo will be joined by last year's winner Wayne Mitchell and Zorol Barthley at what promises to be an intensive two days of golf, however, Barthley, the CEO of Golf Experience Caribbean (GEC) states that the tournament is also an ideal opportunity to market the twin island state: "we have received tremendous support from our sponsors and the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority will have a display at the tournament's official hotel, Cameron House. They will conduct tasting sessions of English Harbour Rum, as well as hand out promotional items from Food and Drink Guide, the Antigua and Barbuda Investment Authority and the Antigua Pier Group. The participants will also have an opportunity to win a week's vacation in Antigua courtesy of the Sugar Ridge Resort."
The team will play practice rounds on October 6 followed by round one on October 7 and round two on October 8. The tournament will end with a Championship dinner where the guests will be treated to miniature bottles of English Harbour Rum and specially labelled bottles of award winning Susies Hot Sauce.
Golf fans and sports enthusiasts will have an opportunity to follow the team's progress on-line at www.golfexperiencecaribbean.com and hear regular news updates thanks to the team's sponsor INET and Titan Farms.
Franker, Stewart, Mitchell and Barthley will fly to Scotland courtesy British Airways, and transportation whilst in Scotland will be provided compliments of Hertz Car Rental. The team's clothing has been provided by Southwest Greens and Vanguard Promotions.
Sponsors, family and friends will mingle with the team during a Happy Hour at Sticky Wicket from 6-7pm, followed by a press conference at the VC Bird International Airport's VIP Lounge at 7:15am.
