Mount St. John’s Medical Centre is a 185-bed modern medical complex which provides full inpatient, diagnostic and physician services.
 
Our services include: Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Ear, Nose & Throat, Nephrology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Pain Management, Oncology, Diabetes Management, Rehabilitation, Emergency & Trauma, Clinical Laboratory & Pathology and Pharmacy.
 
About The Honuorable Arthur T. Porter P.C. MD DBA DMRT FRCPC FACR FACRO FAAMA 
Dr. Arthur T. Porter is the Director General and CEO, McGill University Health Centre, President of the Réseau universitaire intégré en santé McGill Montréal, Québec, Canada and Managing Director of The Cancer Centre, Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
 
In 1999, Dr. Porter was named CEO of the Detroit Medical Center, a US$1.6 billion health system, which is also one of the United States’ largest urban systems and the largest non-government employer in Detroit.
 
In February 2004, Dr. Porter was appointed Director General and CEO of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) in Montréal, Canada.
 
In 2005, the Minister of Health appointed Dr. Porter to serve concurrently as President of the Réseau universitaire intégré en santé McGill (McGill RUIS), an integrated health delivery network serving 1.7 million people.
 
He also serves on the Editorial Board of 13 scientific journals and has to his credit more than 300 scholarly works in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in books and in conference proceedings. He is credited with introducing several novel concepts to radiation therapy.
 
In 2001, U.S. President George W Bush appointed Dr. Porter to the Presidential Commission charged with reviewing the health care provided by the Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration. He teaches part of a M.B.A. course at the University of Tennessee (Mergers and Acquisitions) and at McGill’s School of Business Administration (leadership).
 
In 2008, Dr. Porter was appointed to a life term as a member of the Queens Privy Council for Canada and, Prime Minister Stephen Harper appointed him to serve on Canada’s Security and Intelligence Review Committee.
