WANTED: DIRECTOR OF TOURISM IN CANADA AND THE USA

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority invite applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position of Director Tourism Marketing Antigua and Barbuda Tourist Office in Canada

Essential Role and Functions:

The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following essential functions:

•    Develop, annual marketing, advertising and PR plans to support organizational strategy and objectives.

•    Direct execution of marketing strategy and promotional policies and practices to strengthen Antigua and Barbuda’s position and brand in the United  
     States

•    Ensure marketing activities are efficiently conducted to support marketing plan objectives and meet organic expenditure requirements.

•    Oversee and direct market research, and compile for analysis.

•    Effectively manage all budgetary, financial and administrative functions

•    Establish and maintain effective relationships with airlines, tour operators, travel agents and key industry stakeholders.

•    Build, develop, and motivate a dynamic team of professional staff by providing leadership and support for the design, development and implementation
     of the marketing strategy and activities.  

Education and Experience:

MBA preferred or post graduate degree in Tourism, Marketing, Business Administration or any similar related discipline; along with 8 years experience in the capacity of Destination Marketing Management.  Applicants must also demonstrate the following core competencies:
