‘COME FOR THE CARNIVAL, STAY FOR THE CRICKET’ REGIONAL SUMMER PROMOTION 2013 LAUNCHED
Monday 15th July 2013

The Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority launches its 2013 Summer Regional Promotion ‘Come for the Carnival, stay for the Cricket!’ The promotion is set to run throughout the month of July and will offer one lucky regional winner the opportunity to win the chance to experience Antigua’s Carnival and Cricket FREE!

Antigua & Barbuda is known for its Carnival and for its Cricket and this year the two major events are both happening in the month of August.  Marketing Manager of the ABTA, Charmaine Spencer explained, “The concept of the ‘Come for the Carnival, stay for the Cricket!’ promotion is a two for one destination promotion, where the ABTA decided to capitalize on these two major events and provide a chance for persons from within the Caribbean to win a trip to Antigua to experience both events free.”

The concept behind the promotion: “Things sweet for Antigua Carnival!  This year for Antigua Carnival we are ‘Sweet Misbehavin’ and offering one lucky winner the chance to enter and win their Carnival FREE!  But here, it’s always twice as nice and two is always better than one! And what better way to experience Antigua & Barbuda but to come for Carnival and stay for the Cricket…two is always better than one in Antigua & Barbuda!”

Fans can enter for a chance to win Carnival and Cricket FREE in Antigua & Barbuda throughout the month of July. Participants have to ‘LIKE’ the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Facebook page (www.facebook.com/antiguabarbuda) and post a comment as to why Antigua & Barbuda is, ‘The Ultimate Destination for Carnival & Cricket’.

One lucky regional winner will be flown to Antigua, compliments Liat and receive an all-inclusive stay at Jolly Beach Resort & Spa.  The winner will also receive great prizes such as Carnival costumes compliments Myst Carnival Mas troupe; access tickets to experience Carnival shows and Cricket events and to top it off they will also receive free phones from LIME.

The Carnival experience will be captured by the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) TV network and showcased to the wider region. Look out for the ‘Come for the Carnival, stay for the Cricket!’ promotion on Tempo and the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) TV networks, and tune into the Caribbean Super Station for more promotional details.  The draw will take place the last week in July.
