Monday afternoon saw the official launch of one of the island’s premiere travel guide – Beautiful Barbuda Magazine at the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Booth at the annual World Travel Market (WTM) at the Excel Centre in London. The guide is in its fifth year and is produced by Antiguan-owned publishing firm, Isle Gems Publications.
 
World Travel Market is the world’s leading travel trade exhibition.  Almost 48,000 senior travel industry professionals, government ministers, and representatives of the international media converge in London annually for this four-day event to network, negotiate and discover the latest industry opinion and trends which began on Monday.

John Maginley, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority; Mr. Colin James, Chairman of Barbuda Tourism Board; Mrs. Doras Beazer-Williams, Beautiful Barbuda magazine Managing Editor- Publisher; David A. Joseph Jr. and B. Phoebe Benta; the publication UK Corporate representative.
 
According to the CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Beautiful Barbuda magazine has really positioned Barbuda in such a challenging industry. More and more travelers are getting to know the island and a lot of inquiries are made for day trips and extended holidays in Barbuda. It is important that we promote and market Barbuda differently because it is such a unique island. He further went on to say, “Barbuda is an eco-lover’s dream with beautiful flora and fauna. Here you can take a load off and reconnect with nature, regain your balance, and find your Zen while taking in 17 miles of stunning pink sand beach.”
 
Beautiful Barbuda Magazine is a tourism based publication and is the official travel companion, which highlights Barbuda’s unspoiled tourism industry.
