Team Antigua preparations are in full swing for the upcoming International World Pairs Final in Scotland on October 1st to 3rd.
The Duo Team with Sir Vivian Richards and his colleague Errol Samuel have been given an added incentive thanks to the support of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority.
CEO of the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority Colin C. James stated that, “The Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority is very excited to be partnering with Golf Experience Caribbean to send our winning team to the International Pairs Golf Tournament in Scotland. We see partnerships such as these as strategic opportunities to showcase all that our destination has to offer, inclusive of our expanding Golf market. It is also fantastic to see cricketing legend and Antiguan icon Sir Vivian Richards as a part of this venture.”
During the three day event at the Carrick Golf Course, Loch Lomond, Scotland, the team will have many opportunities to share their knowledge of golf in the twin island state as well as share some merchandise.
“This event offers a wonderful opportunity for us to be ambassadors and over the past three years we have ensured that we take a taste of Antigua and Barbuda with us, as we have previously taken samplings of English Harbour Rum and Susie’s Hot Sauce,” exlplains Zorol Barthley, CEO of Golf Experience Caribbean. He adds that with the Caribbean presence doubled this year, they will be able to show the Caribbean is much more than sun, sea and sand: “As our tournament grows to include players from across the region, it can only bode well for golf in the Caribbean.”
The second Caribbean team in this year’s World Finals will be Adrian Norford of St Kitts and Max Raffoul of Dominica. Click here for all News and Specials for Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority
