CARIBBEAN CRUISE SAYS THANK YOU! Friday 10th February 2012

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of Cruise to Run Caribbean, that sailed on the Caribbean Princess from Jan 22-29 , visiting St. Thomas, Tortola, Antigua, Dominica and Barbados.
We celebrated our 6th year with over 282 runners from across North America running the events. On behalf of the participants of Cruise to Run Caribbean 2012, I would like to thank the The Antigua Tourism Authority, the Police Dept. , Hurricane Power Athletics, Subway, The Grand Royal, Antiguan Beach Resort, The Antigua Public Library and the people of Antigua. Without your assistance the event would not have been possible.
The island of Antigua is an amazing backdrop for our runners to visit and we heard many compliments on the hospitality provided by your team. They truly enjoyed the fastactic event that was put on . Running through town and having all the locals line the streets while the music truck rolls through is a highlight for our group. Fort Barrington also offers up stunning views and a unique history. Having the half-way mark on Royal Beach was spectacular.
This year’s event was especially poignant having suffered the loss of my husband, Jerry Friesen, the organizer and driving force behind Cruise to Run. He held a special fondness in his heart for the island and it’s people and looked forward to coming back year after year. Your extra efforts to ensure a wonderful event in his absence, will never be forgotten. Thank you so much.
It is my sincere hope that we can continue working with you for next years Cruise To Run, visiting Antigua on Wednesday January 30th, 2013 on Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas.
Sincerely
