ONDCP DIRECTOR TO RECEIVE FBI TRAINING Tuesday 17th January 2012

Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda the Hon. W. Baldwin Spencer has announced that Director of the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy ONDCP, Lieutenant Colonel Edward Croft has been chosen to undergo a period of training with the United States Federal Bureau of Investigations FBI.
Speaking at an appreciation ceremony for the ONDCP, Prime Minister Spencer said that his government recognizes that training is very important to how the officers are fulfilling their duties, and that is why his administration is continuously seeking out the assistance of international partners in this area.
“Today, I am pleased to announce that the Director has been selected to attend the FBI’s National Executive Institute NEI, which is the premier executive training venue in the FBI providing strategic leadership development, current affairs, and liaison at the highest levels of the FBI and the largest U.S and International Law enforcement agencies,” stated PM Spencer.
“During the three-cycle programme, Lieutenant Colonel Edward Croft will undergo instructions in national and international political, economic and social trends affecting policing function; ethics and integrity issues; media relations issues, labor relations; the future structure of law enforcement organizations and financing law enforcement organizations,” he said.
Lieutenant Colonel Edward Croft will become the first ever candidate from the Caribbean to attend the training session of the NEI. According to Prime Minister Spencer, this is a tremendous opportunity for the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, the ONDCP and the Eastern Caribbean on a whole.
“I commend Director Croft on his selection and extend my government’s appreciation to the FBI for affording us this opportunity,” PM Spencer concluded.
