MSJMC OUTPATIENT CLINIC SURPRISES STAFF WITH APPRECIATION AWARDS
Thursday 24th November 2011

The staff of Mount St. John’s Medical Center (MSJMC) Outpatient Clinic gathered on Tuesday to appreciate the hard work of the staff and recognize its long-term employees. “We thought with the spirit that surrounds the upcoming holidays, the party would be the perfect time to begin this recognition program. We have so many employees that have been with us for years and they deserve special recognition,” comments Keri-Anne Bramble-Brown, Manager of the clinic, adding, “It’s the people inside these walls that really make us a hospital the community can be proud of and these employees with multiple years of service bring continuity to the process.”

Each employee received a certificate of appreciation as well mobile phones compliments of imobile and Supreme Tech Supplies, and various sponsored prizes however the employee with the most tenure is Condacy Dover, Medical Records Clerk who has been with the hospital for 39 years. As the employee with the most years of service at the hospital, Dover wouldn’t trade her years at the hospital for any other job. “I have always liked being around people and helping them. There isn’t a better place to do that than in a hospital,” she says. Ms. Dover received dinner for two at Tradewinds Hotel, a gift certificate from Touch Therapies and a bottle of wine from AS Brydens. Sherri- Ann Baptiste in the same department received an award for being the most helpful member of staff.

Continued Brown; “It was such an honor for me awarding these two special employees who I think both capture the essence of what this all about; teamwork and commitment. I’m new to this department and the team totally embraced me which helped to make the transition so much easier.”

Said Nurse Jocelyn Francis, a long time nurse in the Outpatient Clinic; “When we heard that Ms. Browne was coming to manage the department to be honest we weren’t sure what to expect – But I think I can say that she impressed all of us from the first day and we’re so appreciative of the surprise awards given out today.”

Others present at the Staff Appreciation Day included, Samuel Aymer (MSJMC Board Chairman), Victor Jackson (MSJMC CEO), Gary Thomas (Director of Administration), Natalie Southwell (Nursing Director) and Patricia Thomas (Nurse Manager).
