Wednesday 31st August 2011
The six young persons who will vie for the title Junior Minister of Tourism, 2011/2012 at an event to be held this coming Friday, were today taken on a Safari Adventure Tour compliments Tropical Adventure.
Having indicated their interest in becoming Antigua Barbuda’s Junior Minister of Tourism, they were engaged in training sessions over the past four weeks. Cynthia Simon, Manager of Tourism Education, Training and Awareness within the Ministry of Tourism and Coordinator of this project, said: “they have all worked really hard and have shown much enthusiasm and interest in learning more about Tourism. They were really deserving of some fun time outside the boundaries of the classroom and while having fun learnt more about their island’s tourism product and offerings.” Simon expressed thanks to the Senior Tour Guide in the Ministry of Tourism, Elizabeth Mason and to the management and staff of Tropical Adventure for making this experience possible.
For the six students; Aliah Ephraim, Justina Sappleton, Kesi Jones, Derry-Ann Adams, Cassandra Vital, and lone male, Dijon Browne, Friday, September 2nd, will be D-Day.
