MINISTER MEETS WITH CRUISE SHIP EXECUTIVE Friday 8th April 2011
The Hon. John Maginley Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture had a courtesy call today, Friday, 1 April 2011, from Mr. Maurice M. Zarmati, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Costa Cruise Lines Inc. Costa’s Vessels has Antigua and Barbuda as one of the premier destinations on their port of call itinerary.
Present at this short meeting held at the Ministry of Tourism was Antigua and Barbuda’s Cruise Executives along with other stake-holders within the industry. Mr. Colin James CEO, Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Mr. Nathan Dundas Manager, Bryson’s Shipping and President of Antigua and Barbuda Cruise Tourism Association, Mr. Conrad E. Pole Manager, Antigua Pier Group, Mr. Tedd Isaac, Chairman of the Antigua Hotel and Tourist Association and Mr. Corthwright Marshall, Director Tourism, Policy and Plan-ning. Discussions are taking place on ways to increase the number of port calls to Antigua & Barbuda.
Mr. Zarmati was presented with a token by the Minister, on behalf of the people of Antigua and Barbuda; Mr. Zarmati also presented a small memento our Minister on behalf of his company Costa Cruise Lines Inc.
