Romance publisher Mills & Boon have dedicated five short stories to Antigua & Barbuda
ST. JOHN’S, ANTIGUA (JUNE 25, 2019) - To celebrate love, The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority has partnered with legendary romance publishers, Mills & Boon, who have produced five short stories about finding love in beautiful Antigua and Barbuda.
Mills & Boon is the UK's undisputed market leader in romance and fiction books. The collaboration with the British publisher, comes as the Tourism Authority continues to promote June as the month of Romance for the destination.
CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Colin. C. James noted that, “The team was very excited about being a part of this unique and fun campaign with Mills & Boons for Romance Month. The UK campaign has a number of activations, which will allow us to receive a large amount of coverage for Antigua and Barbuda as a popular destination for romance.”
ABTA’s Director of Tourism UK & Europe Cherrie Osborne said, “Antigua and Barbuda has long been considered as not only the Romance Capital of the Caribbean, but one of the world’s most romantic destinations. The country’s beautiful beaches, breath-taking views and warm hospitality are the ideal backdrop for these five short stories”.

The five stories which can be downloaded from the Mills & Boon UK page, under the heading ‘Finding Love in Antigua’ include titles such as: ‘Second Chance to Sail into Sunset’ by Annie O’Neil and ‘Love’s a Beach!’ by Heidi Rice.
The stories highlight Antigua and Barbuda’s charm as a sailing and yachting destination, and a beach-lovers paradise. There are features of the UNESCO World Heritage site encompassing Nelson's Dockyard and Shirley Heights - known for its amazing Sunday Sunset Party. Popular local restaurant Dennis’ on stunning Ffryes Beach, the beautiful Mamora Bay, the wondrous North Sound Marine Park, snorkeling and hiking excursions also received mentions throughout the book.
A hard-copy version of the novel has been delivered to Cosmopolitan, You & Your Wedding, Brides, Conde Nast Traveller, Harper’s Bazaar, The Times, and other select consumer and travel trade media, and the partnership promoted during down-the-line radio interviews with the UK media, reaching an audience of close to 2 million listeners. UK Tour Operators and Antigua and Barbuda’s UK-based hotel partners have also received copies of the novel.
An online competition currently being run with Mills & Boon gives one lucky person the chance to win a 7-night holiday to Antigua staying at South Point.
The Competition will run until 31 July on social media and competition stickers have been placed on novels in WH Smith bookstores nation-wide.
