A & B BUILDS MARKETING PARTNERSHIP WITH TRIPADVISOR Monday 4th June 2018
ST. JOHN’S ANTIGUA, (JUNE 1, 2018) – The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority continues its journey to garner more exposure for the destination. Ensuring that this becomes a reality, the ABTA has embarked on collaborative initiatives for the summer with TripAdvisor.
TripAdvisor is the world’s largest travel site providing coverage for approximately 7.5 million accommodations, airlines, experiences and restaurants. The travel site provides a platform that allows travelers to rate their experience, while also giving visitors the opportunity to compare prices.
A successful partnership with TripAdvisor’s Destination Market Manager Carol Johnson, will see the destination play host to its first TripAdvisor Training Seminar on Wednesday June 13th, 2018. The aim of the TripAdvisor Seminar is to provide stakeholders in the Tourism Industry with tools to help manage their company’s online reputation. TripAdvisor Destination Market Manager Carol Johnson said, “reputation management is no longer a luxury, but a critical sales and marketing strategy essential in maintaining and enhancing brand and driving revenue for all types of tourism businesses.” Minister of Tourism, Economic Development and Investment, Hon. Charles Fernandez added that “this seminar is an opportunity for our tourism stakeholders to raise their profile on TripAdvisor and maintain a positive online reputation which is critical in today’s world.”
Under the theme ‘Reviews, reputation, and ROI: Getting the most out of TripAdvisor and your online presence,’ participants will learn how to better access the 415 million monthly travelers using TripAdvisor and take advantage of the resources available to drive their business objectives. The seminar will be held at the Antigua and Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute and is expected to attract over 70 participants, with 30 stakeholders already registered.
