Crews started arriving early yesterday afternoon in Jolly Harbour Marina as Division B boats sailed from Dickenson Bay to their second overnight stop away from English Harbour.
The party was along the board walk which links all the businesses from the Jolly Harbour Sports Club (formerly BBR), to Foredeck Waterfront Bar and the food vendors at the other side of the marina.
Literally hundreds of families, and later party goers arrived and found well organised parking close by, and strolled across to the boardwalk. D.J's and live music created a very convivial atmosphere enjoyed by all.
At the Sports Club, the crowd were warmed up to near boiling point by Chickie Hi-fi and at 9pm the new Itchy Feet Line Up began their set with Prince song Purple Rain. The dance floor quickly filled up with yachties and residents all enjoying an excellent evening. All girl crew were Girls for Sail, and skipper Annie O'Sullivan in their 10th Anniversary Year helped keep things going wearing their team T-shirt of the day, Luff-em and leave 'em'. The Carib Girls made a late entrance tonight in yellow outfits with of course a hi-light of blue.
Chivas Regal VIP Lounge was located inside the sports club and entertained whiskey lovers and friends while back at the commercial centre all the stores stayed open late as visitors enjoyed after dinner browsing.
