The winners of the 2010 LIAT sponsored Antigua Sailing Week Schools’ Art Competition have been announced. A remarkable 278 entries were received from 20 schools across the island.
“All submissions this year were of an extremely high calibre, and all participants should be incredibly proud of their achievements," said Thalia David, co-ordinator of the Art Competition. “It is genuinely inspiring to see such imaginative thinking and exciting ideas showcased through the Competition.
The competition has generated great response from many students, and the quality of entries made the judges' decision a challenging task. According to Brian Challenger, LIAT’s CEO, "We were delighted with the interest in the competition and to see so many local schoolchildren participating. We’re really pleased with the winning designs and think that they look absolutely brilliant."
