ANTIGUA SAILING WEEK ANNOUNCES DAILY PRIZE-GIVINGS Wednesday 14th March 2012
Antigua Sailing Week has a number of new and interesting additions to the line-up for the 2012 event. Among those additions will be daily prize-givings to be held on the lawn at Antigua Yacht Club. The only exception will be on Sunday, April 29 when it will be held on the steps of the Officers Quarters in Nelson's Dockyard. All daily prize-givings will be at 5 pm except on Friday, May 4 when it will take place at 4 pm to leave plenty of time for everyone to prepare for the final awards presentation to be held in Nelson's Dockyard promptly at 7 pm. The daily prize givings will feature fun prizes for the first-place finishers of each day of racing, along with gold, silver and bronze pennants for the first, second and third place finishers in each class.
Antigua Sailing Week has added the daily prize givings to draw attention to daily winners who may not end up taking home any silverware at the end of the week, but who still deserve to be recognized for their daily achievements.
There are opportunities available for sponsorship of daily prizes and the organisers of Antigua Sailing Week welcome you to get in touch with any prizes you may be able to offer. Sponsors of prizes will be recognised on the Antigua Sailing Week Facebook page and in the local press. If interested, please contact thalia@sailingweek.com.
