THE GUADELOUPE TO ANTIGUA RACE IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER Wednesday 23rd March 2011
Antigua Sailing Week in conjunction with the Antigua Yacht Club announce plans for the annual Guadeloupe to Antigua Race in the lead up to Antigua Sailing Week. The race is scheduled to begin outside Anse Deshaies, Guadeloupe at 9:00 am on Friday, April 22 and will feature a number of yachts heading to Antigua from Guadeloupe and other islands to the south in time for the week’s events which begin on Saturday, April 23.
All yachts are welcome to participate in this annual event. It is not necessary to be entered in Antigua Sailing Week to participate in this race. To register or for more information, contact Antigua Sailing Week at roc@sailingweek.com or Antigua Yacht Club at yachtclub@candw.ag. The entry fee for all yachts is US $50 and can be paid in advance or upon arrival at the Antigua Yacht Club.
A ‘Welcome to Antigua’ and post race prize-giving party will be held at Antigua Yacht Club from approximately 5 to 7 pm following the race on Friday, April 22.
