Located on Farrell Road, near Falmouth Cricket Grounds, Pickleball268 offers six (6) Pickleball courts open to the general public.
Pickleball was created on Bainbridge Island (USA) in 1965, but now across the world, many countries are gaining interest in the popular sport. Pickleball268 is working to create the Antigua & Barbuda Pickleball Association, so that they can start to get more involved in international competitions.
If you have never played Pickleball, in simple terms Pickleball is a paddle sport in which two or four players hit a perforated, hollow plastic ball with a paddle over a 34-inch-high net, until one side is unable to return the ball or commits a rule infraction. Many people describe Pickleball as a cross between tennis, table tennis (ping-pong) and badminton.
A community of players living in Antigua have developed this new sport (to Antigua) and Pickleball268 now welcomes, locals and visitors of all ages to come out and enjoy the courts.
There are training and amateur options available to anyone who has never played Pickleball. The Pickleball268 office opens daily 8am-8pm, the courts have floodlights allowing for evening play. Once you start playing and would like to continue, join the Pickleball268 WhatsApp group, used to organize games and tournaments between fellow Picklers.
The Pickleball268 Office/Club House includes a gift shop, drinks and treats for sale and on special occasions savory bites such as - Dinking Doubles (Trini Doubles) Pickleball Patties and Rally Roti's are available on tournament/event nights.
