FLOWER WORLD FLORIST STUDIES WEDDING BOUQUETS WITH TELEFLORA Monday 27th October 2014
Julie Sebastien of Flower World Ltd, St. Johns, Antigua, completed the class entitled Wedding Professional hosted by Teleflora at its state-of-the-art Educational Center in Oklahoma City, USA. Floral designers from all over North America and the Caribbean attended the seminar to learn the latest trends and techniques for brides, attendants, and flowers to wear.
Taught by successful retail florist Joyce Mason-Moniheim, AIFD PFCI of Tucson, Arizona, the class focused on creating coordinated designs to make beautiful wedding memories. Students were challenged to complete a series of projects and to create a variety of designs for brides to carry and flowers to wear.
“Wedding flowers have always been about fashion and style”, said Marie Ackerman, AIFD, Teleflora vice president of education. “It’s very important that every floral artist keep current with new mechanics and techniques to make a bride’s dream come true”.
Sebastien received a certificate of completion as a Wedding Professional, from the Teleflora Education Center, now in its 30th year of providing advanced floral education.
