This month our fans have had an opportunity to win prizes from Antigua Sailing Week, Adventure Antigua and Cambusa Italian Restaurant in this months’ photo contest. Fans entered our photo competition and competed for votes or “likes” in order to win one of these fabulous prizes. Today we announce the three winners of our monthly photo competition.

This month we had two new categories – “Marine Photography” and “General Photography” and we had 38 entries this time. Well done to all participants and we hope you enjoyed taking these photos, we certainly enjoyed sharing them!

Without further ado, here are the winners according to the people's choice based on the number of votes.

In the Marine Category, Vanessa Venturini took the winning spot with her photo of Mega Yacht Serene in St John’s Harbour. She said, “We actually take my 2 year old son as much as possible to see the boats as he is totally in love with them. We had decided to go for ice cream and for my surprise my little guy pointed to me and right then and there the underwater lights came on. It was just a beautiful view!!” 

Her prize was sponsored by Antigua Sailing Week and the photo will be featured in the Marine Art & Photography Exhibition taking place on Sunday 29th April as part of Antigua Sailing Week. She also gets a pair of tickets to Ky-Mani Marley live in concert on May 1st!
 

The General Photography category was dominated by Brandon Browne who has won himself a trip for two on Adventure Antigua’s Eco Tour! Brandon said "My inspiration came from the fact that I wanted to give people an opportunity to see something different. We may have a lot of these creatures in Antigua and most of us take them for granted because its not very often that you would get a chance to view it at such as close range and in such detail, so I just wanted to make it possible for everyone to see what magnificent creature it is." Second place in this category wins dinner for two at Cambusa Italian Restaurant at a value of EC$300! Julie Dewhurst Phillip took home this prize with this picture of Korey Phillip playing in the sand here in Antigua and she "thought that this picture showed the true beauty of Antigua beaches". We couldn't agree more Julie!
