Antigua’s Herbert Jody Maginley, a 2011 Graduate of the Antigua Grammar School and
2012 Graduate of Laurel Springs Online Preparatory School, has successfully gained admission for the Spring semester as a Norse Freshman at Northern Kentucky University, a NCAA division 1 University in Highland Heights, Kentucky.

Jody, as he is more commonly called played both Tennis and Cricket as a junior but it was evident as he was nearing his completion of Secondary School that Tennis was his first love.  In 2011 Jody moved to the United States to attend the Bill Adams Tennis Academy and then on to Saddlebrook Tennis Academy.

Prior to this move he was a student of the Halcyon Tennis Club under the tutelage of Coach Cordell Williams. Jody made significant strides in 2011, successfully completing his CXC exams and moving on to earn two  ITF U18 doubles titles in 2012; Hard work and determination earned him a record high ITF world ranking of 864.  Jody is the son of Giselle and John Maginley.

Antigua’s Kyle Aaron Joseph, a 2012 Graduate of Flanagan High School, Broward County Florida, has successfully gained admission for the spring 2013 semester as an Freshman Avenger at the ASA College, a junior NCAA division 1 ranked college in New York City on a full scholarship.

After completing a stint at the International Academy of Tennis, it became Kyle’s dream to
take his tennis career to a different level. In 2010, Kyle move to the United States to attend the
Bill Adams Tennis Academy.   Kyle started playing tennis at the Halcyon Tennis Club from the age of five (5), under the tutelage of Coach Cordell Williams and his team.  Kyle credits his work ethic on the court and in the classroom to the guidance received at the Halcyon Tennis Club and his early school development at the Montessori school, the St. Nicholas Primary school, the St. Joseph’s Academy and the Island Academy International School. Throughout his tennis career Kyle has grown significantly and has steadily improved his ranking earning him a year end world ranking of 1133.

Although Kyle was born in the United States, he maintains that he will continue flying the flag of
Antigua and Barbuda. This is evident in the fact that on the homepage of the ASA college avengers, his hometown is listed as Antigua and Barbuda. Kyle is the son of Lorrie-Ann and Kevin A. Joseph.

The Antigua & Barbuda Tennis Association congratulates Herbert Jody Maginley and Kyle Aaron Joseph on their successful move into Collegiate Tennis.
