As the Jr. International Tennis Championships winds down, some success came for members of the Under 14 teams today
D'Jeri Raymond met with success today as she defeated Danisja Ricardo (CUR)
in straight sets 4-1, 5-4 (4). Jessica Isaac also moves forward with success as she ousted Aurora Whitter (TRI) 4-2, 4-1. Raymond & Isaac as they move forward continues working to secure a favourable position in a 49 player draw.
Cordell Williams jr also made an easy win of competitor Liu Jacob Chin (TRI) taking the
match in straight sets 4-1, 4-1. Justice Christopher in his bid for a decent position in te draw, today lost to Tafari Trott (Ber)
4-5(13), 0-4.
Doubles team Raymond/Isaac are through to the consolation finals, this after defeating
suriname(Simone VeldHuizen/Tirza Calor) in the semifinal round today 7-5, 6-3
Raymond/Isaac will tomorrow meet the Guatemarlan team of Ninah Cohen & Rut Galindo
Shakir elvin lost his bid today for 17th position after being defeated by Bonni Manstra of Suriname 4-2, 5-3. Elvin will now have play for 19th or 20th position respectively.
