INTRODUCTION TO THE G
Nestled in the peaceful countryside of the village of Piccadilly. Just minutes from Cobb's Cross and English Harbour on the old medical school road, on the way to St James's Club where a new experience is evolving. The unique octagon-shaped wooden building, topped by its magnificent sunlit atrium, is morphing into the largest and best-equipped creative venues of its kind in the Caribbean.
The G began as a small backyard home school 21 years ago but has now turned into a dream to contribute to the Arts and Crafts culture on the island of Antigua.
After extensive renovations and remodeling, The G Art Gallery and Cultural Centre has opened its doors to the public, free of charge, so that they may visit the beautiful complex, to observe, absorb and appreciate the skills used by the artists here on display.
All are welcome to visit and relax in the peaceful environment we have created at the G. Listen to soothing music on our state of the art sound system, whilst you have the opportunity to view and/or purchase some of the Caribbean’s finest original paintings, prints, and crafts. We will be serving fresh juice, tea, coffee and snacks and offering you a place to relax in our naturally tree-shaded picnic tables, located in our three-acre gardens.
In time, and with the support of our residents and visiting artists, the G will further evolve into an educational centre where participants will be able to learn the techniques in Art classes, using the information and demonstrations provided by the talented artists.
We look forward to welcoming you all to the G gallery!
