TIGER TYSON AT OPEN KITE FOIL WORLD SERIES Tuesday 20th July 2021
Antigua’s Tiger Tyson recently competed in Italy at the first stage of the Open Kite Foil World Series, racing against the top 100 in the world.
Now 19 years old, he’s no longer in the U19 Youth Division, and competing against the adults now. Overall he placed 25th of 100 among tough competition but placed well.
There are 4 more competitions in the series this year, where he will be competing in Formula Kite which is regulated by the IKA and recognized by the IOC and leads to rankings for 2024 Olympics. His main goal is to become top 15 in the world in order to qualify Antigua and Barbuda for the Paris Olympics. Tiger has chosen to go to Kedge Business School in the South of France so he can train near the French team to try and qualify Antigua for the 2024 Olympics.
