Antigua’s Tiger Tyson took to Sardinia to compete in Kite Foiling in the European Championship recently. Due to his ranking, he was placed to compete among the adults rather than Under19s, and therefore was edged out of the gold fleet, and competed in the silver fleet. He lead the silver fleet in the beginning, and in the end secured 2nd place of the silver fleet – an impressive result regardless as he competed among 90 athletes.

Tiger was not allowed to compete in the mixed relay European Championship, which will be the new Olympic format, as he doesn’t have an Antiguan female partner to race with. Therefore in order to compete in the Olympics representing Antigua, an Antiguan female needs to train and gather sponsorship to compete alongside Tiger.
