A TRUE ARTIST OF CAMOUFLAGE
This fish grows to about 18 inches and is the most colourful and largest in Antigua and Barbuda. It has the power of changing colour to the sea bottom that it currently rests on. A true artist of camouflage! It is not easy to see unless it moves. It often buries itself in the sand with just its eyes poking out, waiting for its prey, which are small fish and crustacean
Special thanks to the late Desmond Nicholson of the Museum of Antigua & Barbuda and Peter Duce for making this section of Antigua Nice Ltd possible! |
