Antigua Flora: Morning Glory.
Antigua Flora:
MORNING GLORY,
Family:
Ipomoea fistulosa

A straggly bush, usually found growing, to a height of about five feet, in the corner or along the fence of gardens. Occasionally planted as an ornamental.  Supposed to have originated from tropical America, now widely spread throughout the tropics.

Beautiful, delicate, pale mauve, trumpet-shaped flowers open with the morning sun and rarely last until evening. On a particularly windy day they will not even last that long as they easily become ragged by the gusts. There will be a fresh crop of flowers the next morning.
